Research Focus

Pandemic readiness, global health governance, travel-related public health risk, pandemics and borders

Julianne is a PhD Candidate in Health Sciences at SFU. Prior to joining the BRC, she spent six years as a researcher and project manager for the Pandemics & Borders project led by PI Professor Kelley Lee. Her doctoral research examines how uncertainty affects international cooperation in response to complex global public health crises. Julianne received her BA in International Relations from UBC before pursuing a Master in International Affairs focused on global health security from the Graduate Institute in Geneva, Switzerland.
