Miranda holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Global Health from the Brighton and Sussex Medical school and a Bachelor of Arts (with Distinction) in Health Sciences, a minor in International Studies, and a specialization in International Security and Conflict from Simon Fraser University.
Her master’s thesis looked at patterns of sexual risk behaviours during and after extreme weather events. She is passionate about environmental determinants of health, sex and gender based analyses of health policy, and global health security.
Prior to her work at SFU, Miranda worked as a Policy Analyst with the Public Health Agency of Canada.
